I love to draw and paint. My camera sucks so the pictures of the paintings are kind of fuzzy. I usually use pencil for my drawings but for paintings I use oil.

I'm new at oil painting. I used to use Acrylics because it was a lot cheaper, but I love oil now. My deviations are very colorful, unlike the way I dress. I guess it's because I need to express my colorfullness somehow. Drawings are another story though because I like the pencil/charcoal/conte look.

For Poets

Stay beautiful
but don't stay down underground too long
Dont turn into a mole
or a worm
or a root
or a stone
Come on out into the sunlight
Breathe in trees
Knock out mountains
Commune with snakes
& be the very hero of birds

Don't forget to poke your head up
& blink
Think
Walk all around
Swim upstream

Dont forget to fly

The Nature of Man: The Body.
What is our body? What is the use of the body? Why are we born with a body and
what does it matter?
The body is the physical, material vessel of the mind and soul. The body uses five
senses to be aware of it's environment. These senses are hearing, touch, sight,
taste, and smell. What we see, hear, touch, taste and smell is the physical
reality.
We are born into this physical reality because we need to experience certain things
in this reality in order for us to understand that we belong ultimately with our
Creator. We all came from our Creator, the Divine, and we must return to him/her.
(The Divine is neither female or male, or both if you may, so I will just call the
Divine "him/her.") Why, you ask, must we journey back to where we came from if we
were to end up back there in the first place? When we are born, we are not the same
as when we die. We have learned, we have experienced. That knowledge and
experience is important to our enlightenment. Even though we return back to where
we came from, we are a changed person, an enlightened, ascended person. We have
lived.
When I say that we are not the same when we born and when we die, I know you may
ask, "well, what about infant deaths?" I believe in reincarnation, and lifetimes.
Some have traveled this physical world over and over, finding nothing because they
just haven't allowed themselves to become ready yet. That is why, I believe that
some find enlightenment quicker than others in one lifetime, because they have
already lived another life.
The body is just a vessel in which we get to experience in, but we should respect
it, for giving us the chance to experience in it. The more we respect our body, the
better the experience we have from it. And the better the experience, the easier it
is for your eyes to open up to the idea of enlightenment.
__________
The Nature of Man: The Mind
The mind is what the human brain does. It is everything organized that makes us
able to interact with our environment. It also contains all conscious,
subconscious, and unconscious experiences. It is the psyche, or "I", which we
usually call the ego.
The ego, is helpful in ways to us, and harmful in ways to us, when we allow
ourselves to let it. "Discipline and mindfulness can reduce the ego's hold on our
thoughts and actions, but most of us don't consider that earnest spiritual seeking
can itself be a product of the ego." (Tom Butler-Bowdon)
Since man is made of ego, soul and body, it is easy to assume by ridding of the ego,
that you'll reach the soul in the body, but I've learned over the years that it is
best to befriend the ego, instead. To work with the ego, you don't have it blocking
the soul, yet it is there to push you to work towards your spiritual goals. It is
only by acknowledging the ego's workings that you will be able to see the other
side; of spirit.
__________
The Nature of Man: The Soul
The soul is the true self and man's final end is to reach the Divine Reality in and
through the soul. The soul of essence is the Divine, but it is covered by the mind
and hidden inside the body.
To know is to directly percieve through the soul. To ascend, or be one with the
Divine/ Creator, you improve conduct, alter character, and reach the unconscious
level to become enlightened, and in that state, you are One. It means to not rid
of the "I" but to work beside the "I" and not let it dominate. This is ascension,
to unite with the Divine.
__________
The Nature of the Divine: The Divine
The Divine, as said above, is the true or high self, or soul. The divine is not
male or female. It is immanent and transcendent.

__________

The Nature of the Divine: Reaching the Divine.
To reach/ become only true self, you must improve conduct, alter character and
modify consciousness to reach the point of awareness and openmindedness. This can
be done with both lifestyle and ritual.
__________
The Nature of Reality: Reality
Reality is everything that is and is not. It includes everything we can and cannot
percieve. This includes the physical universe.
We use our senses to percieve the physical universe, but these senses are not to be
taken so that you believe that it's the only thing there. Our perception of the
physical universe should not be completely trusted.
The Divine is not the first cause, because there was no cause. Nothing changed, it
is only our mind that changed. When you see a flag moving in the wind, it is not
the flag or wind that is moving, it is your mind that is moving. It is our minds
that changed, not the universe.
The reality in which we cannot directly percieve with our senses is the Divine
reality. It is the Divine in itself. We must "unsee" to truly see the true
reality.

Krypteria- The Promise

He said: Just sign your name across the dotted line and take advantage of the goods I have to offer
It won’t cost you much just a single drop of blood and I’ll hand you the things you have long been wishing for
It’s an easy way to choose, what do you have to lose ?
Will I fall ? Opulentiam aeternam gloriamque te promitto
Will I stand tall ? Quidquid agis prudenter agas et respice finem
Will I fall ? Venustatem infinitam gloriamque te promitto
Will I stand or fall ? Quidquid agis prudenter agas et respice finem
Should I sign and end this lifelong string of broken dreams of failure, shattered hopes, of trials and tribulations ?
It won’t cost a thing all the world will hear me sing and I’d have all the riches, the fame and everything
It’s an easy way to choose, what do I have to lose ?
Will I fall ? Opulentiam aeternam gloriamque te promitto
Will I stand tall ? Quidquid agis prudenter agas et respice finem
Will I fall ? Venustatem infinitam gloriamque te promitto
Will I stand or fall ? Quidquid agis prudenter agas et respice finem
Should I sign and blindly dance along the piper’s tune or should I rather trust my inner voice to guide me ?
I don’t own a lot but I still got one last shot so do I need to believe in a promise and its seed ?
Am I willing to choose when it’s myself I could lose ?

Love at First Sight

Thu Nov 19, 2009, 9:31 AM
Ok, this is kind of weird but hear me out.

On Tuesday I went to an Asian supermarket and they usually have live fish, crabs, lobsters, clams and other stuff. The live lobsters cost about five bucks per pound, but there were these *special* lobsters in a different tank, and I don't know if this was a mistake or not but the price was $16.99 a pound. The label said they were "local" or something, I really don't know. I'll have to google search it after this journal post.

So there's this lobster in the *speciallobstertank* and I'm looking at it and it's looking back at me. I get closer and it gets closer to me. I wave and he/she/it waves back by its antenna. I move to the side and it follows me, so I start playing peek-a-boo.

I swear I was in front of that tank for like half an hour. But the weird thing was I felt the same way a woman feels when she gets asked out by a very handsome respectful guy. It's the kind of excited-yay-I'm-blushing-maybe-it's-love-at-first-sight feeling.

Am I in love with a lobster?

I told you this was weird. Now I've heard of people falling in love with objects. And I've heard of beastiality but this is not beastiality at all. I wasn't sexually attracted to it or anything.

I eventually left the market, and to my surprise I was thinking about it the whole car ride back just as if the lobster was a very handsome respectful guy. In fact, I'm still thinking about it now!

I do believe in reincarnation, but I've never been sure about animals or plants having souls like humans. Did the lobster feel the same way? I was going to buy it but I'd have no place to put it and at 17 bucks per pound I don't think I could even afford it. I have a betta fish (I love betta fishies by the way) and I don't think he'd like a big lobster in there with him.

I'm thinking of going back to the supermarket to visit it again. Ok. I'm going to date a lobster. Am I out of my freaking mind?

Also, I noticed these lobsters did not have claws. Or at least I did not see them.

Ok, I googled and I went to wikipedia. I think this was a "spiny lobster."

-Spiny lobsters can be easily distinguished from true lobsters by their very long, thick, spiny antennae, by the lack of claws (chelae) on the first four pairs of walking legs, although the females of most species have a small claw on the fifth pair [4], and by a particularly specialized larval phase called Phyllosoma. True lobsters have much smaller antennae and claws on the first three pairs of legs, with the first being particularly enlarged.

Spiny lobsters, also known as langouste or rock lobsters are a family (Palinuridae) of about 45 species of achelate crustaceans, in the Decapoda Reptantia. Spiny lobsters are also, especially in Australia and New Zealand, sometimes called crayfish, sea crayfish or crawfish, terms which elsewhere are reserved for freshwater crayfish. The largest spiny lobster on record was over 1 m (3 ft) long and weighed over 11.8 kg (26 lb)[2].

The furry lobsters (e.g. Palinurellus) are sometimes separated into a family of their own, the Synaxidae, but are usually considered members of the Palinuridae. The slipper lobsters (Scyllaridae) are their next closest relatives, and these two or three families make up the Achelata. Genera of spiny lobsters include Palinurus and a number of anagrams thereof: Panulirus, Linuparus, etc. (Palinurus was also a helmsman in Virgil's Æneid.)

Although they superficially resemble true lobsters in terms of overall shape and having a hard carapace and exoskeleton, the two groups are not closely related. Spiny lobsters can be easily distinguished from true lobsters by their very long, thick, spiny antennae, by the lack of claws (chelae) on the first four pairs of walking legs, although the females of most species have a small claw on the fifth pair [4], and by a particularly specialized larval phase called Phyllosoma. True lobsters have much smaller antennae and claws on the first three pairs of legs, with the first being particularly enlarged.

Spiny lobsters are found in almost all warm seas, including the Caribbean and the Mediterranean Sea, but are particularly common in Australasia, where they are referred to commonly as crayfish or sea crayfish (Jasus novaehollandiae and Jasus edwardsii), and South Africa (Jasus lalandii). A new species, Palinurus barbarae was described in 2006.

Spiny lobsters tend to live in crevices of rocks and coral reefs, only occasionally venturing out at night to seek snails, clams, crabs, sea urchins or carrion to eat. Sometimes, they migrate in very large groups in long files of lobsters across the sea floor. These lines may be more than 50 lobsters long. Spiny lobsters navigate by using the smell and taste of natural substances in the water that change in different parts of the ocean. It was recently discovered that spiny lobsters can also navigate by detecting the magnetic field of the earth.[6] They keep together by contact, using their long antennae.[7] Potential predators may be deterred from eating spiny lobsters by a loud screech made by the antennae of the spiny lobsters rubbing against a smooth part of the exoskeleton [8]. Spiny lobsters usually exhibit social habit by being together. However recent studies indicate that healthy lobsters move away from infected ones leaving the diseased lobsters to fend for themselves [9].

Many spiny lobsters produce rasping sounds to repel predators. This is done by rubbing the "plectrum" at the base of the spiny lobster's antennae against a "file". The noise is produced by sticking and slipping, in the same way that a violin string is bowed, and is the only example of this kind of sound production in the animal kingdom [10]. Significantly, the system does not rely on the hardness of the exoskeleton, as many other arthropod sounds do, meaning that the spiny lobsters can continue to produce the deterrent noises even in the period following a moult when they are most vulnerable [10]. The stridulating organ is present in all but three genera in the family (Jasus, Projasus and the furry lobster Palinurellus [11]), and its form can distinguish different species [12].

Well I guess we do learn something every day.

If anybody else has had this kind of situation happen to them, I would appreciate comments and advice.
